Tell us about yourself!
I am the true “Farmer’s Daughter who moved to the Big City”! I grew up in a small Southwestern Ontario Irish Canadian rural community, fondly known as “Byrnedale” where my neighbours down the road and on the next “line” were all cousins – Byrne’s, Dunn’s, Mullins, Tracey’s and a few Sheehans!
The travel bug hit me early, and after high school, I was off to Toronto to attend a travel course and never looked back. My mentors taught me that every client deserves the best experience available and, above all, the best service. My passion in the travel industry is creating experiences that go above and beyond the client’s expectations. Even when COVID hit the travel industry hard, I couldn’t stop sharing my travel advice and wrote a Substack column called “How to Travel like a VIP”.

What Do you Love about Travelling?
Travel fills my spirit! From a favourite view at breakfast at the Impressions Moxche by Secrets in the Riviera Maya, to a wonderful London Afternoon Tea with my daughter. I have experienced the wonder and pleasure of travelling to many wonderful places around the world from Cape Point in South Africa to Reykjavik, Dubai to Dublin, from Venice to Switzerland, to mention a few. My best trips are shared with family. What is my favourite place to travel? The next place I visit….

Where do you call home?
Now my home is in Barrie, Ontario, a small lakefront city north of Toronto. The sculpture of the “Spirit Catcher” is at the Lake Simcoe waterfront, celebrating the local indigenous community. Barrie has the most wonderful parks and paths in the woods, where my mini Australian Shepherd Molly takes me for many walks!

What are some hobbies you have outside of travel?
A hobby that I love to do when I have any spare time is to sew. Like these Christmas dresses I made for my granddaughters and this “travelling outfit”!

What excites you about working with Sheenco Travel?

It is a privilege to now work with Sheenco Travel and an outstanding opportunity to combine my years of experience with a tour company that is a stellar organization specializing in the best that England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales can offer.
